This coffee lot is sourced from three coffee-producing families residing in El Diamante village within the San Jose de Lourdes district. The average farm size in this area is approximately 1 hectare, and the primary coffee variety cultivated is caturra.

San Jose de Lourdes boasts a unique microclimate distinct from other regions such as Jaen and San Ignacio. It offers cooler temperatures and higher rainfall, resulting in a distinctive cup profile characterized by abundant citrus notes and a rare buttery quality. However, this district faces considerable isolation as it is distant from the city of Jaen and necessitates a river crossing via boat due to the absence of bridges.

This isolation poses logistical challenges when it comes to transporting coffee to Jaen. Consequently, many local producers opt to sell their coffee at significantly reduced prices within their community, which leaves them with minimal resources to reinvest in their farms. This situation has led to low coffee production levels and considerable variability in coffee quality, primarily due to a lack of knowledge and the necessary infrastructure among the producers.
